I am SO gonna run through that naked. |
And you can also see the Hyundai Heavy Industries shipyard where Greg does all his lawyer stuff.
I wanna ride that crane so hard.... also random little asian house in the lower right corner..? |
So we had lunch at a great Indian place nearby (like, furreal delish), and then we were off to the shipyard to take a tour! Unfortunately, I couldn't take any pictures (I really don't feel like getting arrested in Korea for industrial espionage today. Maybe later. After a few more shots). So you guys will just have to be adults for FIVE FREAKING SECONDS and imagine it. We went into Greg's office and met many of his coworkers, who were SUPER sweet and I can't understand how they can put up with my brother. Hahahah I made myself laugh. Then we watched a very educational video on all the stuff Hyundai Heavy Industries makes in this area. WHICH IS A CRAP LOAD OF CRAP. Then one of Greg's coworkers took us in his car and gave us a tour of this GIGANTIC shipyard. Holy balls on a cracker, guys, this place is HUUUGE. There's like nine dry docks, and this is where they make all the BIG cargo ships, oil drilling platforms, transport ships, submarines, destroyers, and then LAUNCH them... there was so much activity and so many different kinds of huge vehicles and cranes transporting and moving large pieces of hulls and keels and propellers that I couldn't believe it. We saw hundreds of engineers, architects, welders, etc. all bustling around, you know, just building some of the biggest and most powerful types of engines and ships on the planet. no biggie. I remember in my head saying, "I can still smell the fresh paint". If anyone knows what that's from you're my hero and an INCREDIBLE loser. And by loser I mean WINNER.
So after the tour we relaxed in the hotel for a couple hours, and then we were off to dinner! We met up with some of Greg's friends, who were super sweet, AGAIN, and had MORE Korean barbecue!
Ugh. Another flamer. Yeesh. |
mmm marinated pork ribs
I can never get porked enough it seems |
And BOOZE!!
Alcohol is as vital to a meal as the meal |
Then, in accordance with Korean culture, we went to ANOTHER restaurant afterward, and had MORE Korean barbecue! Except this place specialized in amazingly fresh seafood!
Female anatomical associations ABOUNDDD |
And I mean fresh. Like... really fresh... .... ... LIKE REALLY REALLY FRESH I DONT THINK YOU GUYS ARE GETTING IT:
The freaky thing is.. I was so guilty for killing it I actually ATE it after. Added a whole new meaning to "guilt eating" don't you think?
We also had MORE BOOZE (I tell ya the Koreans know how to live, man)
Oh and Greg and Bruce did a shot together.
So THAT'S where I get my booze driven skills from!
After that, my parents peeled off and went to bed, and Greg, his friends, and I went off to Noreban (karaoke). And ya know, we rocked it:
We're Northrups, I mean, heh, c'mon, right? I mean.. heh.. like.. what? |
Then I got back to the hotel safely, and passed the BUTT out. :-D
